Before your first glow.

This guide covers common water-transfer temporary tattoos. Always follow the instructions supplied with your particular kit: water-transfer, dry-transfer and glow finishes can have different steps.

01 / Pick your placement.

Choose your design and check the size before applying. Start with clean, dry skin, free from lotion or oil. Use a small design first so you can get comfortable with the process.

02 / Peel, place, press.

For a water-transfer design, remove the clear protective film and place the design face down on your chosen area. Keep it still while you wet the paper backing with a damp cloth. Use the application time printed on your kit.

03 / Reveal your look.

Gently lift the backing as directed. Let the design settle and dry before touching it or putting clothing over it. If a corner has not transferred, follow the kit instructions rather than pulling or scrubbing the area.

04 / Keep it comfortable.

Avoid unnecessary rubbing. Wear time depends on the material, placement and care, so check your product label for its own guidance.

05 / Ready for a new look?

Follow the removal method on your kit. Some temporary tattoo papers can be removed with warm water and a washcloth; others need a different method. Be gentle and do not scrape your skin.

A quick skin check.

Read the ingredients and warnings before use. Do not apply over irritated or damaged skin, near eyes, or where the label says not to use it. If irritation occurs, remove the design and stop using it. No material can be promised to suit everyone.

Common questions.

Is every kit glow-in-the-dark?
Check the individual product description. A styling preview does not confirm a glow finish.

How long will it last?
Use the wear-time guidance for the actual kit. We will add tested Star Echo material details before products go on sale.
